Diploma of International Sport Studies (DISS)

Applications are filling fast for the new DISS programme commencing in January 2008. In preparation for this new elite Sports qualification IPC has implemented sporting facility upgrades, including purchasing new equipment for the IPC gym and planning future developments for the playing fields.

The DISS programme will attract more Athletes to IPC, from New Zealand and Internationally. International Pacific University (IPU) will also be sending over 20 Japanese students to complete a 6 week, intensive course over summer term.

The IPC Rugby Team is looking forward to welcoming new rugby players from around New Zealand, these players will represent IPC in the annual match against IPU. This years first match has started a war between the two Universities, with IPU narrowly beating the IPC team for the Ohashi Cup.

The DISS programme has changed from the previous Certificate of International Sports, graduates from the Certificate course include Christian Cullen, and Jason Mclean (NZ inline hockey rep). DISS is the start of a new era of sporting excellence at IPC.
