Three exchange students and a lecturer from IPC's sister university, International Pacific University (IPU) in Okayama, arrived at IPC on 15th February. They are Chiko Fujishima and Eri Tanaka, who are studying education management, Saki Yano, who is studying sports, and IPU Lecturer Michiko Kumada. Another student, Hayato Yasui, from the sports major, will join them on Monday, 22nd February.

These new arrivals were welcomed to IPC Campus by IPC staff and students. The welcome was done in English.

The exchange program will see these students studying in Foundation classes for 6 weeks. During this time, a series of activities are on their schedule. These include: visiting local schools, sheep shearing, horse riding, a trip to Kapiti Island Nature Reserve, home-stay, tramping in Tongariro National Park, and participating in local events. It is hoped that the exchange students will gain valuable experience and enjoy their time in New Zealand, especially at IPC.
