To commemorate the achievements of the students in 2009 and to introduce its 2010 core members, IPC Students Association held the fourth General Assembly, and the last one in 2009, at Rec Centre, IPC Campus, on Friday, 4th December.

In the spirit of Christmas, 2009 IPCSA President Gregory (Greg) Ng came out on the podium as Santa Claus to open the assembly. Takaaki Matsubara, another 2009 SA core member accompanied him. Matching Greg's costume, Takaaki was wearing Rudolph's antlers and red nose. The festive appearance from both graduating students cheered up the students and staff members in the audience, and put a merry start for the assembly.

On this last assembly, Greg called all of IPCSA core members of 2009 and 2010 on to the stage. It was a good opportunity to hear the final greeting from the some of the 2009 core members as they are graduating this year. It was also a chance to get to know the new core members for 2010 with its new President, Hirotaka Ota.

Afterwards, IPC staff member James Oliver went up to the podium to announce the nominees for 2009 IPC Awards. Many great achievements of the students were mentioned and the awards reminded everyone what a good year it had been. The winners of the awards are listed at the end of this article.

Closing the assembly, Greg announced an ensuing party that night. Organized also by IPCSA, the party was a last opportunity for the graduating students to celebrate their successes with other students.
