On 15th September, Chairman of the Board / Chief Executive Officer Mr Hiroshi Ohashi and Mrs Setsuko Ohashi, along with IPC President Prof Wayne L. Edwards and Mrs Judith Edwards, met the students and lecturers from the Master of International Studies programme for a special dinner arranged at Swan House, IPC campus. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board and the IPC President both extended a warm welcome to all of the students. A small gift from Japan was also given to each student, with Mr and Mrs Ohashi, and Prof. Edwards and Mrs Edwards taking turns to make the presentations.

Olga Gulyaeva, a first year student from Russia, reported:

First of all, I would like to say thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Ohashi for the dinner, the hospitality and the confidence they expressed. I believe that for all Master’s students this dinner was very important, because we had a great opportunity to communicate in an informal atmosphere with Mr. and Mrs. Ohashi. In fact, the atmosphere of the meeting was very kindly and sincere. I was very glad to see most of our professors. It was enjoyable for me to find that Mr. and Mrs. Ohashi were very interested in our native cultures, customs and traditions and although there were more than thirty Master’s students, Mr. Ohashi managed to talk with each of us. I hope that this meeting helped us to understand that we are a united IPC family.
