To fully enjoy life at IPC, joining a club is essential as an opportunity to cross the boundaries of country of origin, age and study programme and make new friends who are interested in the same things as you are. Furthermore, those students who belong to a club in town will have the invaluable experience of connecting with the local people.

For this purpose, an event called "IPC and Town Club Night" was held on 29th April at the Recreation Centre, IPC Campus, to help the new students find a club that they want to participate in.
The floor of the gymnasium was crowded with senior students and town people from various clubs. The members of each club competed to introduce their clubs to the new students.
Many interesting ways were used to attract new members. For example, the Taiko drum team performed a Taiko demonstration and then let the new students have a try at playing the Taiko drum, while the Frisbee club played a video of the tournaments in which they have participated. Nearby, the members of the Yearbook Committee could be seen wearing their ‘recruitment suits'.
Around the room, questions about the club activities could be heard, such as "How many times a week do you practice?" and "I'm interested in snowboarding but I didn't bring my board with me. How much is it to borrow one?"
The club members' efforts were not in vain. Many students registered that night and it was an exciting night for both the new students and the existing club members.
