New students have come or are coming to IPC Campus from their home countries for Term 2, which started on 18th August. First, a group of students from Vietnam arrived at the end of July (the end of Term 1). Then at the beginning of August, came the students from Brazil, India, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, followed by students from Russia, French Polynesia, Japan and New Zealand just before Term 2 started. In total, there are 40 new students from 11 different countries. This makes an exceptional number of new students for this time of year.
Orientation activities for the new students were held and included many things such as a campus tour, important information about living in the halls and trips to town to open New Zealand bank accounts. Gatherings such as morning tea and dinner were also held so that they could meet and get to know the staff members. After deciding which papers and courses they would like to take and completing paper registration forms, the new students were ready to start a new phase of their lives and launch themselves into a new world of possibilities.
