Message from Palmerston North Mayor

As Mayor and representative of the people of our wonderful city of Palmerston North, it is my sincere pleasure to welcome you as a potential new student to IPC and to invite you to participate in the life of our city while you are studying at IPC.

IPC is a valued member of the Palmerston North community and has a reputation throughout New Zealand as a provider of quality, student-focused tertiary education. The College is an integral part of the city and I see this partnership continuing to grow. IPC students contribute in a variety of ways to the city, by taking part in community projects, with internships in local businesses and generally getting to know New Zealand culture in ways that facilitate personal development and interactive learning. Student interaction with the community is valued by local businesses and all other sections of the community.

Palmerston North has much to offer to students. It is a medium-sized, thriving city, with many outdoor activities and sporting events as well as a variety of cafes and shops. The city values the contribution students make to the city, and it is our wish that your stay here will be an enjoyable and rewarding one.
