Diploma of International Sports Studies
For the student who is presently involved in sport -- either as a player, coach or administrator -- IPC's one-year Diploma of International Sport Studies offers the chance to incorporate these skills into a recognised qualification and to take their skills to a higher level.
The Diploma of International Sport Studies (DISS) programme integrates sports coaching, athletic performance and injury prevention skills that are readily transferable across cultural and national boundaries. This programme has been developed for students who want to develop skills for coaching and athletic performance enhancement that can lead to immediate employment in secondary schools (sports coordinators), sports codes, coaching positions and opportunities for further study.
Students will be required to complete nine DISS papers ranging from national standard levels 3 to 5 over a period of 12 months (forty weeks of class, individual study, orientation and practical application). Each paper is worth 15 credits for a total of 135 credits for the qualification.

Comment from a Graduate
Having the opportunity to study at a tertiary institution tuition free whilst playing the game I love, inline hockey, was the perfect opportunity and reason for me deciding to undertake my studies at IPC.
The state of the art facilities, small class sizes, personalised attention and the international environment that IPC boasts enabled me to excel both inside the classroom and on the rink representing New Zealand at Inline Hockey.
My experiences at IPC proved to be invaluable in helping me to secure gainful employment within the events, activities and marketing arenas where I deal with clients from all over the world on a daily basis.
