International Business
Business is a dynamic and challenging vocation. Students are introduced to four major areas of business: management, accounting and finance, economic environments and marketing. The programme provides you with a solid grounding in practical business concepts and principles through instruction that places equal emphasis on both theory and application. It includes the study of contemporary international business concerns relevant to students from diverse cultural backgrounds who are seeking employment in international companies or in small business firms involved with international trade and enterprise.
Graduates will also have the ability to communicate in a second language and have a thorough understanding of business etiquette when dealing cross culturally. This combination gives International Business Graduates a competitive edge in todays globalising workforce.
International Business Students will gain an overview of all the main areas of Business, combined with the Environment and International Relations core papers. As a result graduates will have an understanding of critical business principles such as developing Environmental Policies, or the impact of Politics on the Economies where they are aspiring to do Business.

Andrew Becker
NZ Army Officer
I have found the experience at IPC to be unique and invaluable. Due to the small classes I got the most out of my lecturers, learning all aspects of business. I also had the freedom to present and research my own areas of interest throughout the Degree. I will apply the cultural experience I have gained in future operational deployments with the NZ Territorial Force, and I believe IPC has given me a competitive edge in my future International Business Career. It has been a really fun and rewarding place to spend three years!
